pieces of me

all the latest

We are but a collection of our experiences; a rich brocade of our travels, friends, & day-to-day interactions. the details of what we are made of, fascinate me. I suppose that’s why, when purging my kids playroom, I looked at the broken, discarded bits of toys, and saw far more than plastic. I saw all the memories and wonderful stories that had played out in my kid’s heads as they grew. these bits spoke to me, not just as a mother, but as an artist.

They told a story.  What i enjoy most about my art, is that you look at it from afar, and you *think* you know what it is… But in reality, it’s nothing like that at all. I guess it’s a lot like me; Nothing like what you thought and sometimes surprising. My art is pieces of me.
